I bought this to record bass tracks with. I usually play drums but this thing sounds sweet and is great for someone that doesn't have big hands. You can be very nimble on the fret board and the action is great. I run it through the mixer and studio monitors so I haven't heard it through an amp but I am sure it will sound awesome at that point. I would never recommend buying one of those gig packs. Go buy this and a nice bass amp for $200 an you'll be good to go for awhile!
